Jason (He/Him) is a Musician/Performer/Composer in Orlando. He teaches private voice, piano, and music theory both in-person and online. He is a staff accompanist for the University of Central Florida Theatre Department; is a guest artist and adjunct professor at Rollins College; and is a freelance musician. He recently arranged and orchestrated the new musical From Here, written by Donald Rupe, and was the music director for its debut run at Central Florida Community Arts in 2020. Jason also teamed up with Donald Rupe as the arranger/orchestrator for Flying Lessons, and music directed the show’s Off-Broadway production in July of 2019 at NYMF. He has also been the composer/arranger for Bright Young Things (winning Critics Choice for Music Direction in 2020 from the Orlando Sentinel) and Unspoken. Jason has music directed for a number of theatres and schools around Central Florida including Osceola Arts, CFCArts, UCF, Rollins College, Wayne Densch, WPHS, and Trinity Prep. He also has taught musical theatre classes for Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Orlando Rep, CFCArts, Oregon Children’s Theatre, Missoula Children’s Theatre, and American Family Theatre. Jason is also a performer and has acted with a number of theatres across the country including Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, American Family Theatre, Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Salem Repertory Theatre, and Central Florida Community Arts. He has also taught band, choir, and general music in middle and high schools. Jason’s private voice studio focuses on technique, musical theatre style, and auditions. He recently graduated from UCF with his M.A. in Musical Theatre, with a focus on Music Direction.
